LETS CELEBRATE!

By James Smith, 26 September 2012 – 0 comment

Four years ago Growing Well took the decision to launch the Crop Share scheme; a scheme that would revolutionise the way we did business.  We would ask our Cropsharers to commit to the season, come hell or high water, sharing in the gluts and lean times.

As Growers we feel the responsibility of producing our quality vegetables on a daily basis.  This season, although we have managed to provide a weekly share that has been on paper, value for money, crop damage and failure due to weather and pestilence has meant the variety across the season has been limited. This is reality, and is happening across the United Kingdom.

So we have to celebrate the committment that our Cropsharers have brought to Growing Well.  We have to celebrate our creativity, faced with finding another recipe for the persistent vegetables that have survived week in week out!  Celebrate the volunteers that daily sow, plant and harvest.  Lastly we should celebrate the vegetables themselves!
