We were delighted to spend the afternoon with Helen Browning, the Chief Executive of the Soil Association. She was in the Lakes to speak at Cumbria Organics' AGM, and had chosen to come up early in the day to spend some time at Growing Well.
Helen spent time chatting to staff and volunteers, keen to know more about how we integrate our mental health support into a thriving organic growing business. She was also interested in the success of our Cropshare scheme. Community Supported Agriculture schemes (such as our Cropshare) are being used increasingly across the country by small growers to increase the viability of their businesses. Helen left the farm enormously impressed with the achievements of the team at Growing Well
