With the warm weather, Growing Well's site has come alive again. Everywhere we look we have plants waiting to go in the ground! Our volunteer team has been hard at work, planting in the outdoor beds, and turning over our polytunnels from our spring to summer crops.
We have recently welcomed twelve students onto a new NVQ 2 course at Growing Well, whilst bidding farewell to a student group who had been with us since last September. These new students have been joining our volunteers, and together have already fully completed the planting of one of our five outdoor areas.
With the sunshine come the school groups, and we are having a record year with pupils visiting from across South Cumbria. Low Sizegh Farm's new piglets are a big hit!
