This week we began to clear our site in preparation for the building of four new polytunnels this winter. Our tool store was moved expertly by Paul from Low Sizergh Farm and then our volunteers started to measure out the dimensions of the new tunnels. We will be increasing our indoor growing space from 500 square metres to 1250 square metres, which will provide us with much more indoor space to work in winter months and will allow us to supply produce all year round for our Cropshare scheme. The cost of tunnels has been supported by the Freida Scott Trust and the Cumbria Waste Management Environment Trust.
