I have, in the past, been known to ridicule our julienne peeler.  In fact, I’ll go so far as to admit I didn’t even know what one looked like, and felt that not owning one was a first world problem.

However, I am converted.  I’ll shout it from the rooftops.  I am a follower of the julienne peel, for without it, the Cucunoodle would not have been born.

Cucunoodle?  I hear you ask.  Yes. Cucunoodle.  A simple creation which has transformed my life in one short lunchtime.

Here, let it transform yours:

1.Take a cucumber, peel it and then julienne peel it. Discard the seeds.

2. Add the strips to a dry, hot frying pan, add salt and pepper to taste and cook until soft. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Voila!  Delicious Cucunoodles.

I know. Call that a recipe?

I don’t know what magic occurs but this stuff seriously rocks.

Mock me all you want, but try this and you too will be humbled by the power of the julienne.
