It was National Hummus day on 13th May. I can’t write this without thinking of Adam Sandler in You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, a film which, despite it’s dreadfulness still makes me laugh every time I see it.
Anyway, we thought we’d try a Lemon and Chive hummus for the occasion. Didn’t last long!
1 tin of chickpeas, drained
1 garlic clove, peeled
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp chopped chives
salt and pepper
Put all the ingredients in a food process and blend (not too smooth). Taste and add more lemon juice, salt and pepper as required.
