We are delighted to have secured a £25,000 grant from the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust to support our vital mental health work over the next year.
The funding will support the continuation of our therapeutic horticulture service at Low Sizergh on our farm and in our kitchen so we can help more people rebuild confidence and resilience, learn to manage anxieties and challenges, learn new skills, and progress onwards to employment, education, unsupported volunteering or another life goal.
Growing Well chief executive Mary Smith said: “We are extremely grateful to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery and the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust for this large award, which follows a grant last year towards our on-site kitchen.
“This funding for continuing our work at Low Sizergh is vital as we also pursue our goal of opening a second site in Cumbria within the next year.”
